This organization means a lot to us because it's the one that saved Maya. They save so many cats who are different, older, sick, or just in need of some help, and they do everything they can to send them to loving homes.
This organization means a lot to us, as it's one we've been involved with long before we formed our own nonprofit. In fact, they inspired us to get involved in the first place. Special Olympics is an organization that provides free athletics programs to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in all 50 states and 172 countries globally. Within Massachusetts alone, Special Olympics works with 12,500 children and adults all across the state, holding nearly 300 sporting events each year. These programs not only improve athletic and social skills, but also build confidence and encourage inclusion.
Changing the Face of Beauty is committed to equal representation of people with disabilities in advertising and the media worldwide. They advocate for inclusive imagery, thus changing perceptions, normalizing differences, and igniting futures in advertising and media. So far, over 100 companies have committed to change, they've gotten a model on the runway at New York fashion week, and they've even made it onto the Today Show.
Founded by the awesome catmoms of @smushofficial, a cat born with a facial deformity, this foundation raises awareness and funds for animal welfare causes. The Smush Foundation’s mission is to raise money for animal welfare organizations, including animal shelters, rescue groups, and shelter medicine programs, and to provide education, instruction and support on marketing and photographing techniques designed to increase animal adoptions.
They are dedicated to providing children of all abilities with a solid foundation for life-long learning through developmental, educational and therapeutic programs. They help children achieve their full potential through their day school, inclusive preschool, Early Intervention services, and more.
Sidewalk Angels Foundation is dedicated to providing critically needed funds and support to over 20 no-kill animal shelters and animal rescues, across the country, that help to fight for the rights and fair treatment of those with no voice. They help with animal rescues, adoptions, building proper shelter facilities, getting proper medical care, low cost spay and neuter programs, helping to teach children kindness and compassion through animals, and advocacy programs such as fighting against cruelty and working to fight against breed discrimination. They also also work with homeless shelters that provide for the displaced by meeting the physical needs of people and their pets in crisis, so that families in need are not forced to give up their pets.
Founded by Shane Burcaw of Squirmy and Grubs, this nonprofit teaches children that all people deserve kindness and respect, regardless of their differences, while providing equipment grants to those living with muscular dystrophy.
In honor of Pride Month, we've added the North Shore Alliance of GLBTQ Youth to our roster of nonprofits you can donate to by purchasing one of our products. nAGLY is a place where youth ages 14-23 in the North Shore of Massachusetts are understood and can understand others — a place to identify and give and get respect. It’s a place where you will be welcomed, and learn to belong. It's an open and inclusive for both allies and LGBTQ+ youth.
* The other 25% stays with us so we can pay for things like this website and book donations. If we find we have a surplus, we will up the donation percentage.
